Hello, I’m Isabel, the heart and camera behind Clover and Pine Photo.

I’m so glad you’re here. I specialize in capturing intimate family sessions, weddings, and elopements across Southern Vermont, New England, and beyond.

My goal is simple: to preserve the authentic love, quiet tenderness, and spontaneous joy between you and your favorite people. Whether we are exploring wildflower fields, navigating quiet backroads, or celebrating your wedding day in the mountains, I am here to curate a timeless gallery of photos you will treasure for generations.

My Approach: Documentary Storytelling with Gentle Guidance

If you worry about feeling awkward or stiff in front of a camera, you are in good hands. My photography style blends natural, documentary storytelling with relaxed direction so you never have to guess what to do with your hands or hold a fake smile.

Working with me feels like interacting naturally with your partner, children, or loved ones. It involves fun prompts that get you moving, shared laughter, and casual, natural interactions. I seek out genuine emotion, spontaneous giggles, and real connection so our sessions will never feel like you have to stare directly at the lens for minutes on end, holding poses, or forcing smiles.

Through light audible prompts and visual cues, I keep you engaged and moving naturally. This lets the camera fade into the background so I can capture bright, true-to-color imagery that feels honest, emotional, and deeply personal.

My Story & Passion

My love for visual storytelling began in middle school during a summer program with the In-Sight Photography Project in my home town of Brattleboro. That early experience showed me just how powerful a photo can be in preserving a moment in time.

When I officially launched my professional photography business in 2016, delivering my first complete gallery confirmed everything: seeing the emotion and meaning those images held for my client made me realize this is exactly what I was meant to do. There is nothing quite like knowing a photograph will sit on a mantelpiece or in a family album for decades to come.
